Everbeing tungsten probing tip offerings covers different material hardness, diameter, and geometry that can fit perfectly with your requirement. The most common wafer probing tips are tungsten and creates a fine end with an angular taper. Tungsten is a reliable conductor and has a high degree of hardness to scratch the surface of your wafer ensuring good contact.
For softer material deposits contacts, consider BeCu (Beryllium Copper) or Gold-Plated Tungsten. Gold-Plated tungsten has an additional benefit of improving conductivity.
For sensitive contacts (or if they’re incredibly thin or scratch-sensitive), cat-whisker tips are an excellent option. A thin strand flexible tungsten is bonded onto a tungsten shaft, allowing it to be grabbed easily and land probes.
